The Max Planck Foundation offers the opportunity of internships to interested students. Interns are involved with international projects or research projects. As well as this the position involves, for example, research tasks, the development of learning materials, translation and the organization and preparation of training events. The location of the internship is the Foundation’s premises in Heidelberg. Internships last a minimum of four weeks.
The requirements for an open application for the position of intern are as follows:
- Individuals who are currently studying or have recently graduated, especially students of relevant subject areas such as of law, politics, Islamic studies, translation/interpreting etc.
- Fluent English in both written and spoken form
- Good knowledge of German desirable
- Further languages that are also an advantage include Arabic, Dari/Farsi, Pashtu, Burmese and Amharic
The starting date and duration of each internship are to be agreed upon with the intern’s supervisor. Internships are always on an unpaid basis. In special cases a contribution can be made towards living costs.
