The Foundation and the Afghan Legal Research Development Organisation sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Integrity Watch Afghanistan

The new collaboration’s objective is to enhance the development of the rule of law as well as the fight against corruption in Afghanistan.

The Foundation and its Afghan counterpart, the Afghan Legal Research Development Organisation (ALRDO) entered into an agreement with Integrity Watch Afghanistan (IWA) by signing a Memorandum of Understanding on 15 May 2019.

The agreement envisages a cooperation between the three institutions, with the aim of jointly address the development of the rule of law as well as the fight against corruption in Afghanistan. This cooperation will particularly involve the identification of common areas of expertise and the joint elaboration and implementation of future projects. Furthermore, the parties agreed to take appropriate measures in order to guarantee that their own statutes comply with the highest possible standards with regard to transparency, accountability and anti-corruption efforts.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Sayed Ikram Afzali on behalf of IWA, Saeed Lutforahman on behalf of ALRDO and the Foundation’s Country Manager for Afghanistan.
