Memorandum of Understanding on assistance to the constitutional review and implementation process signed by H.E. Mohamed Osman Jawari, Speaker of the Federal Parliament of Somalia and the Head of MPFPR’s Subsaharan Africa Operations in Mogadishu, Somalia
The Memorandum of Understanding establishes a framework for cooperation between the Federal Parliament of the Republic of Somalia and the Max Planck Foundation for International Peace and the Rule of Law and specifies the conditions and modalities of this collaboration.
In the framework of this cooperation, the MPFPR provides technical legal assistance to the Somali Federal Parliament in the course of the constitutional review and implementation process as well as capacity building activities in the field of comparative constitutional law for the honourable Members of Parliament and selected Parliamentary Committees.
The project continues the fruitful cooperation between the Somali Parliament and the MPFPR until July 2016 and is funded by the European Union.
