Official hand-over of final Rules of Procedure
On 22 November 2017, 2000 copies of the Rules of Procedure of the Constitutional Panel of the Supreme Court of South Sudan were officially handed over by the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to South Sudan, Jan Hendrik van Thiel, to the Chief Justice of South Sudan, Justice Chan Reec Madut.
The official ceremony was attended by the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Paulino Wanawila Onango, and a number of Justices of the Supreme Court and Courts of Appeal of South Sudan.
The Rules of Procedure were developed with the support of the Max Planck Team within the context of the project “Technical Support to the Supreme Court of South Sudan (2014–2016)”, funded by the Federal Foreign Office of the Republic of Germany.
