Memoranda of Understanding signed between the Sudanese Ministry of Justice, the Sudanese Bar Union and the Max Planck Foundation
The signing of these documents laid the foundation for a workshop series held in Khartoum in 2013. The workshops were designed to focus especially on legal issues regarding borders and water, two topics of particular importance to Sudan. Research fellows of the Max Planck Foundation were asked to conduct the workshops jointly with Sudanese lawyers, who should offer translation for the participating legal counsels and lawyers whenever necessary. The project continued the fruitful cooperation between the three institutions of the last years and was funded by the German Foreign Office.
