Official presentation of the comprehensive Compilation of the Jurisprudence of the Constitutional Court of Mali

First comprehensive compilation of the entire case law of the Constitutional Court of Mali from 1995 to 2017

During the opening ceremony of its fifth workshop with the Constitutional Court of Mali, the Max Planck Foundation officially handed over the first comprehensive Compilation of the jurisprudence of the Constitutional Court of Mali to Justice Manassa Dianoko, President of the Constitutional Court. The Collection contains all judgments, decisions and advisory opinions issued by the Court from 1995 to 2017.

A technical sheet, which summarises the most important facts and findings of the judgment/decision and lists all legal norms at stake, precedes each judgment/decision. Based on the parameters used in the CODICES database of the Venice Commission, the technical sheets feature systematic and alphabetical keywords, which are also listed at the end of each volume in order to facilitate thematic searches. The team of the Max Planck Foundation completed all technical sheets in close cooperation with the Scientific Committee of the Constitutional Court.

The collection of the case law of the Malian Constitutional Court from 1995 to 2017 features six volumes and was prepared in order to enhance the knowledge of the Constitutional Court’s case law amongst lawyers and academics as well as citizens in Mali and beyond. The Compilation also aims at facilitating legal research on constitutional standards in Mali.

This publication is the outcome of the collaboration of the Constitutional Court of Mali and the Max Planck Foundation in the framework of a project funded by the German Federal Foreign Office.
