The Foundation launches a new project in Nicaragua

The aim is to support the enhancement of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms

The Max Planck Foundation has started a new academic cooperation project in Nicaragua with the Instituto Martin Luther King at the Universidad Politécnica de Nicaragua (UPOLI). The project intends to contribute to social and economic progress and the enhancement of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in Nicaragua.

The support foreseen in this project focuses particularly on capacity building regarding alternative dispute resolution, i.e. techniques and procedures, the organisation of roundtables and workshops, the provision of assistance in drafting materials and studies that contribute to improved knowledge and awareness of various stakeholders. The importance of the Foundation’s involvement lies in the fact that the project aims to enhance cooperation between these stakeholders by providing impartial technical advice. The project is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office.
