The Foundation delivers a course on ‘Parliamentary Oversight and Legislative Scrutiny’

Drawing on experiences and best practices from other parliaments, this advanced course provides in-depth knowledge of parliamentary oversight mechanisms and processes in the Maldives.

In partnership with the Westminster Foundation for Democracy through funding received from the UK’s Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), the Max Planck Foundation has developed an advanced online course on ‘Parliamentary Oversight and Legislative Scrutiny .

In light of a strong demand for progressive reforms in the Maldives, the underlying objective of the course is to strengthen the institutional capacity of the People’s Majlis to promote responsive, open and more inclusive decision-making when formulating legislation, investigating policy issues and holding government to account.
