The Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science has appointed two new Managing Directors at the Foundation.

Dr Kathrin Maria Scherr and Johannes Krusemark-Camin have become Managing Directors reflecting advice from the Scientific and Development Policy Advisory Committee.

Following the recommendation from the Scientific and Development Policy Advisory Committee of the Max Planck Foundation, the Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of two new Managing Directors, Dr Kathrin Maria Scherr and Johannes Krusemark-Camin. In addition to their new roles, Dr Scherr will continue to head the Foundation’s Sub-Saharan Africa and Jordan Projects and Mr Krusemark-Camin remains Head of South and Southeast Asia Projects.

The Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science, the Foundation’s Scientific and Development Policy Advisory Committee and staff congratulate them both and wish them all the very best in their new positions.
