Professor Rüdiger Wolfrum meets the Secretary General of the Constitutional Court of Indonesia, Professor M. Guntur Hamzah, in Jakarta
On 4 December 2019, one of the Foundation’s Managing Directors and former judge and President of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, Professor Rüdiger Wolfrum and Research Fellows from the Foundation’s Asia Team visited the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia in Jakarta to meet with the Secretary General, Professor M Guntur Hamzah.
This visit was, among other things, an opportunity for Professor Wolfrum and the Secretary General to discuss possible collaborations between the two institutions, in the field of constitutional law research. Professor Guntur stressed that the Constitutional Court of Indonesia was “very interested in making a cooperation agreement with the Foundation, especially regarding research and publications”.
The Foundation’s visit followed preliminary discussions between Professor Guntur and representatives from the Constitutional Court at the Foundation’s headquarters in Heidelberg at the end of November.
