The fourth workshop of the current project was held in Yerevan, Armenia.
On 26 November 2024, the Caucasus Institute in partnership with the Max Planck Foundation for International Peace and the Rule of Law implemented the fourth workshop under the auspices of the project ‘Promoting Future Oriented Youth Dialogues’, which is generously funded by the German Federal Foreign Office. The workshop took place in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, and engaged young activists and students who were forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.
The workshop focused on exploring visions for Armenia’s future and the future for the people of Nagorno-Karabakh, with participants addressing key areas such as security, foreign policy, migration, economic development, and education. Through collaborative group work, participants mapped out obstacles hindering progress in these areas and identified potential stakeholders who could play a role in shaping the country’s future.
In the final session of the workshop, each group presented their vision and outlined actionable steps to address the challenges they had identified. The participants also had an opportunity to discuss their ideas with experts from the Caucasus Institute and to receive their feedback.
The most active participants from all the workshops held in Armenia in the course of this year’s project implementation will gather in Yerevan for the final conference, which will take at the beginning of December, to share their visions and engage in meaningful discussions about the future of Armenia, and the role of youth in it.
