Agreement to cooperate
On 13 March 2020, the Hanns Seidel Foundation and the Max Planck Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding laying the groundwork for collaboration between the two organisations’ work in Pakistan. The cooperation aims to support the work of the Parliament and promote good governance throughout the country, in particular through capacity building, promotion of political dialogue, as well as by extending institutional support to lawmakers and legislative drafters from the Senate, National Assembly and provincial assemblies of Pakistan.
Previously, the Foundation has implemented numerous projects in Pakistan. This agreement supports the Foundation’s ongoing project, “Strengthening Legislative Drafting in Pakistan” generously funded by the Chubb Rule of Law Fund, as well as future projects and areas of collaboration.
